CÁEL & CO. is a design and hospitality studio specialising in architecture and interior design for immersive hospitality environments. With more than fifteen years of experience, we create spaces where architecture, atmosphere and operation move as one.

Marize-Louise’s architectural path emerges from a multidisciplinary foundation that combines Consumer Sciences with a master’s degree in architecture. Her early engagement with hospitality shaped a refined understanding of guest needs, service flow, and the operational systems that underpin memorable experiences. This foundation naturally evolved into a focus on hospitality architecture and business development, where design thinking and strategic insight work in tandem to create environments that are both thoughtfully crafted and deeply connected to their context.

Mariëtte’s architectural journey spans more than 15 years, shaped by a diverse portfolio of projects. Her early work in high-end residences honed a refined sensitivity to detail, craftsmanship, and the intimate dialogue between people and the spaces they inhabit. From this foundation grew a passion for designing immersive environments and this path naturally led her to exclusive wilderness retreats that demand both elegance and a profound respect for the wilderness.

Every project begins with a sense of place: its landscape, its people and its stories. Through an approach that is both eco-conscious and culturally attuned, we shape spaces that belong naturally to their context and contribute meaningfully to it.
